Tuesday Musings | With Magnolian – An Indie Musician From Mongolia

What day is it? Oh yeah, Tuesday! I’m losing track completely here. Today see’s the return of some really nice sunshine down South. I have been sitting in the garden for the majority of the afternoon, I probably should have been working. Not to worry, it’s important to enjoy a bit of sunshine every so often. I have been updating my playlists today with a few brilliant sunshine suited tunes getting a placing. I added in a wonderful Mongolian artist to the list! His name is Magnolian and his folk-y chilled tunes are absolutely stunning.

At the start of the year, Magnolian was voted in my Top 10 artists to watch out for in 2020. He came in out #6 and for good reason. He is one of the most cherished indie musicians in Mongolia. In the past, he has been the only Mongolian contemporary indie-folk artist performing at many festivals in his homeland. His internationally universal-style struck me straight away! This guy is doing his native county proud – I am now keeping tabs on the Mongolian contemporary Indie music scene. I never thought I’d say that.

He retains his native tongue in some of his tunes but predominantly sings in English. I would like to share a track called Өвөлжөө here – It is a thing of beauty. It’s the Mongolian Version he made of a song called ‘Banquet‘ from his Debut EP ‘Famous Men‘.

This is something different: Have a listen to the musical musings of Magnolian.
