My favourite moment every week has come around again. It’s time a share our top Electronic music releases of the week with you today. Compiling these deeply dug-out compilation pieces is why we started The Sound Sniffer. We strive to do the donkey work to find these gems so you don’t have to. This weeks list features tunes from Pick A Piper // Element Operator // Mall Walker // Jonny Faith // Mike Forst // Recable // Koresma.
Pick A Piper // Fragments

We start off this week in Canada and a new belting release from producer Pike A Piper. Elements of break-beat, acidic tones and a rolling beat give his latest single Fragments a stand-out glow in our estimations. This is one hell of an electronic journey. Can’t get enough. The mad thing is, he is also the drummer for Caribou!!!
What a talented man! A great way to start this weeks list!
Recable // Gravel Folk
German based beat-maker Recable unleashes a tune that is both dreamy and dark this week in Gravel Folk. The track combines luscious piano melodies with intense elements of electronic production here. I get shades of Kiasmos here and also a little Joris Delacroix vibe too. This is whopper work.
So Relaxing!!
Mall Walker // Root Vegetables

Weird and wonderful stuff here from new American producer Mall Walker. This is not your average structured release and it rubbed me up the right way. I’m all for unique and creative sounds and this certainly fits the bill! This type of electronic music is really raw and reminds me a little of an unpolished version of Gold Panda at times. Really nice though!
Element Operator // Rainy Days

Sweden is our next stop for the electronic workings of Element Operator. I’m loving the bizarre artwork for a start. The music itself is also something I have been enjoying over the last few days. Rainy Days is one of them slow-burning tunes that would work well towards the peak of a set. The atmosphere just builds and builds. Love that.
* it wasn’t on Youtube for my formatting so we put it there for the article 🙂 *
Jonny Faith // Fana (Ft. Mohamed Camara

Scottish born producer Jonny Faith has just unleashed a properly good tune with vocals from Mohamed Camara. I’m not sure if this is the Malian Footballer or not but it sure as hell sounds exhilarating. This track has a lot of energy, I like energy, I like this track. Have a gawk.
Mike Forst // Lune

Mike Forst is a California based artist who makes music that soothes the soul. His latest tune, Lune, is a really really well constructed piece. I love the percussion throughout. He is an artist that ranks very highly in my estimations on the back of this one. Check out his latest track below and make sure to check out his other works too.
Koresma // Northern Lights

This isn’t the first time we have included Koresma in our lists. His music is beautiful and this latest release titled ‘Northern Lights’ is yet another brilliant production. I love the mellow soundscapes this man can produce, it all kind of sits alone stylistically. Koresma makes beats that sound like Koresma. A brilliant find and one to watch. Yes.
This track + Free are two beauts!!
