Geographer Releases Delicately Poised Single ‘Got it Wrong’

Immediately captivating for the conviction imbued in the vocal top-line, Geographer here nestles upon a bed of strings that dart and twist, an ambrosia of turmoil and writhing angst that, when the chorus parts the clouds, offer a window onto a delicately poised and preciously pertinent sentiment: ‘what if we got it wrong, what if there really is a God?

The hook is undeniable and begs of you ‘what would you change?’ Marry that heat with the delicate brevity of each passing swell and the result conjures a moment you’ll want to cling to for just a moment longer.

This song sparks something that you almost daren’t want to acknowledge, it’s blisteringly bright for that, a flight too close to the Sun and almost, shamefully, it might be easier to deny that he actually has a point.

However, take that music video, the song, performance, those strings that won’t let go and the emotion binding it all together and Geographer doesn’t leave space for such an escape. Instead, relish in the warmth of this moment, the possibility that it’s never too late to change and that life itself is punctuated by turning points, the sort of which are often inspired by songs as beautiful as this.

Released February 23rd as part of Geographer’s most recent album, A Mirror Brightly.
