Uffie – Mine

French-American artist Uffie was top of the music class back in 2006 when her ‘Pop The Glock’ was released via acclaimed Parisian label Ed Banger Records. At the time her stablemates were Justice and Mr. Oizo and she was a very sought after commodity on the pop scene. Strangly, she hadn’t released a full length project in almost a decade before her Tokyo Love Hotel Ep dropped earlier this year. Over the years she has worked with the likes of Charli XCX and Galantis.

Mine is her newest release and it operates in her trademark experimental pop style again. The brooding synths and plonky bleeps accompany Uffie as the track chirps along. Her vocals are totally on point here, the woman sure has a star quality to her sound. This new release is right up there amongst her best works. Out of all of my submissions this week on SubmitHub, this one stood out the most as a radio ready jingle. Ed Banger started the journey for her back in 2006, Uffie has continued to make heads bang in 2019. She is one slick operater.
