S.PHIA is an emerging talent on the New York electronic scene at the minute. This talented young artist was born and raised in the Big Apple but has German roots, which probably explains her interest in everything electronic. Losing Control is a really pleasant and well constructed mellow house tune. There is nothing overly crazy happening here, it’s controlled, structured and certainly a really solid listen.
This song would mix in perfectly to Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics. If I was curating a pop/disco set, I would certainly play around with this a bit. S.PHIA is making some nice retro stuff and I’m really glad I found her. I will surely be trying to find one of her gigs when I go stateside next year. A really good effort here!
