Shaky Shack are an Irish duo consisting of Alex Winter and Mateusz Kosnik. These Dublin based musicians have been making DIY music from a home studio and we are loving their latest ambient single In Honey. I’m not a huge fan of LoFi Indie stuff on the whole but these lads make a blend that I’m fairly taken to. The melancholic electronic dreamy synths heard through the chorus is what sold this track for me. The vocals are really crisp and mellow too, there is certainly a lot of talent between them.
The Irish music scene is rife with talent always and I’m delighted to add Shaky Shack to our ever growing list of Irish features on The Sound Sniffer. The lads join the likes of Lisa Gorry, TADGH, David Kitt, Padraig MacMahon and INSIDEAWAVE to our archives and we are delighted to share them with you all.
The lads have recently sold out a gig in their kitchen – class. Hopefully they will be able to make a break in 2020 and sell out a few venues around the city! Their stock is rising.
Check out Shaky Shack’s second single ‘In Honey’ below and enjoy the dreamy soundscapes for yourselves. These boys are making some nice sounds and I’m looking forward to hearing more in the near future. Sound.
