Philadelphia is the home of futuristic funk group Fantasy 15. They have been gracing us here with their groovy singles recently.
I’m really humbled and proud to give you all first eyes on Fantasy 15‘s latest trippy official video. We are delighted to join them on their latest intergalactic funk adventure.
Fantasy 15 are the house band for Eraserhood Sound ‘Synth & Soul’ label over in Philly. Their opening release ‘Fame or Life‘ was the initial reason I came to enjoy their sound. That single chirps away with old school bass-lines and quirky sound effects aplenty. This follow up, The Menace, is the definition of lounge. Their free flowing and vibrant vibes are very easy on the palate.
The band sound like proper hippies too and describe their sound as a mix between Nigerian Funk, Brazilian Tropicália and New York’s New Wave. Their opening releases are a blissful sonic funk journey. They have been received really well so far and I’m delighted, it’s great to know that good music can still shine through.
To be the band’s media outlet of choice for the premiere is unreal. I take great pride in sharing this with you all today. ‘The Menace’ is one of them superb lounge tracks that pushes all the right buttons. I have been listening to this one on my shuffle ever since it was released a week ago. The new video was directed and edited by Billy SWIVS.
As a pretty particularly personal blog, we have steered clear of doing premieres since we founded back in 2018. I’m delighted to finally get the chance to accept a premiere that really makes me excited and makes me sway.

They sound like right nutters which is fitting! Outlandish!
