London Duo Urchin & Ross K Team Up For New Single ‘Slow Game’

Leo Appleyard, aka Urchin, has been on The Sound Sniffer’s radar for a couple of years now. He is one of London’s finest producers in my book and it’s always a pleasure taking in new music from him. About a week ago I was made aware of a new single due for release and was pretty stoked to have been afforded an early listen. Slow Game is a collaboration track with fellow London producer Ross K and it’s fair to say, on this evidence, the pair have quite an understanding.

The track is focused primarily in the melancholic sphere of things and is a wash of rippling synths, shimmering guitar notes and pensive vocals from Appleyard. Even cooler still, the audio visuals that accompany the track, created by João Marques, are to be auctioned off as an NFT (a very modern thing that I still haven’t got a full grasp on what it actually is yet). A new crypto way of doing things I’m guessing.

If you are a fan of smartly constructed electronic music suitable for train-window-gazing, this new release is sure to tickle your fancy. Plenty of emotion and raw talent on show here.
