Poor Bambi’s ‘This One Is For Free’ is the Noisy Noise You Need to Start 2026

Who knew 2026 would begin with a huge blast of noise. It’s a blast of noise that hits absolutely perfectly we may add. It comes from a Norwegian trio called Poor Bambi and is the perfect vessel to set the scene for the year. I mean, this track came to our attention a few days ago (released 6th January) and we’ve been playing it constantly since. I’ve put on my headphones and ripped this tune on a couple of times on London Underground this week and weaving station to station hasn’t felt so enthralling for quite a while. Let this song do the work and allow yourself some serious noise to accompany those, once so mundane, commutes. This track feels like a homage to those gritty London basement venues and a playful take on posers.

This track is taken from the band’s upcoming debut album ‘Skyscrapers Soaring Yet We Are Drowning‘ which will surface on Feb 6th. We look forward to hearing the full works; and apparently the band are wicked on the live front, so head over to Norway and see it in the flesh if you’d be that way inclined as they have shows in their homeland, and a pretty strong reputation to boot.

Have a listen to the track below and get your neck muscles working. Your head will bang.
