Hailing from Galloway, in the South-West of Scotland, these two mates Stuart Ramage and Roan Ballintine are doing rightly these days! I came into contact with them recently and enjoyed their take on commercially based music. It was ‘Positive‘ I heard a few months ago and I put them on the backburner in lieu of their forthcoming work. Today, they released another thought provoking arrangement, which is a supremely well written pop tune.
Float, released today, is a soulful and experimental track which displays this duos songwriting abilities through it’s intense suspenseful structure. These lads seem to be cut from the same musical cloth as Jack Garrett, which is a good thing since Mr Garrett has been MIA for the last few years – and the vibes need to be kept up. Some really nice production elements to be heard here – this is commercial music made well, well played lads.
