It’s not often (or ever) I link two songs from the same EP on a Sniffer post, usual ways are meant to be broken, especially when a debut EP is completely brilliant. This New York artist is certainly well worth hearing today. Nick AM‘s LoFi house indie has just announced itself to us via The Hype Machine and I think it’s pure class you know. His debut EP FATALE has just surfaced and the title tune is a wriggely little earworm. I had to give it the oul respin as soon as it ended, that’s the sign of a high calibre piece!
I have featured a few new acts skirting around this genre recently such as Model Man and Salute, but I have to admit, this EP from Nick AM is the trump card for sure. Another tune from this taster is a heavy hitting little rasper ‘Elle‘ – a bouncy house tune suitable for a big hall. This is an absolute roaster of a song lad! Tipping the hat here in London.
‘Lil red‘ is a classy one too with beautiful vocals from Sydney’s Violet and supreme distorted jazz and french language samples throughout – creative!
