New York’s cult hero Kool Keith is back with his 17th studio album, yes – 17th. This oldschool Ultramagnetic MC collaborates with Cypress Hill’s B-Real on the album’s closing track. This is something a little bit different here and it’s the brilliant beat that gives this tune the edge! Seventeen albums though, that is absolutely insane.
I havn’t been listening to much rap music in recent times, so it’s refreshing for me to come accross this little collab completely by chance. The tune is crisp and a throwback to the roots of rap without any of the silly business – This man gives ‘Zero Fux.
This album titled ‘Keith’ is touted for release on July 12th and was produced in full by Psycho Les of The Beatnuts and features cameos from the aforementioned B-Real and also Paul Wall. Have a gawk. I like it.
