After a long day slogging it out, I shifted through a few tunes to find a nice comedown song to release the tension. I came to a swift halt at this one straight away – Astrolemo are ticking all the right chilled-out boxes with this crisp new release ‘Dreams in Reverse
From the opening’s flickering drum pattern, fused with those nice mellow chords, I was embraced and readied to hear a quality tune. I wasn’t wrong. This is a really nice sound here and if you are looking to describe their sound, the artist brilliantly states that they are “A fusion of modernized Massive Attack, drug-free Flying Lotus and spicy Bonobo.”. A cultured description that intruiges for sure.
The project was formed back in 2017 but it’s my first taste of their stuff and will certainly be exploring their back catalogue. Have a listen to the melancholic release below and have a nice little chill. Be sure to check out ‘Blue Moon’ too while you are at it – Nice track! On first glance, I’m impressed.
