Marrius // Back To Strangers

Marrius

London based singer/songwriter Marrius is an artist on the rise here in the capital. He will be releasing his second EP titled ‘Borrowed Time’ in early November and we cannot wait for it. Two songs have been dripped out before the EP drops in a couple of weeks. Borrowed Time and Back To Strangers are top drawer Indie Electronic tracks that show off the undoubted talents of Marrius.

He has already crossed paths with some of the best in business early on. He supported Alt-J at Scala and also played a couple of European festivals and headline gigs at The Waiting Room and Notting Hill Arts Club. His latest single Back to Strangers reminds me of the work of fellow experimental electronic artist Ben Khan. It’s intricate and bubbly in it’s construction. Marrius has a really top level vocal too which makes this a catchy and infectious little number. The floating synths and plucky guitar work also gives this fella a Jai Paul hue.

Back To Strangers

I am really excited about the new EP and will be attending his gig on November 8th at The Waiting Room. This single has already been picked up by the people at BBC Introducing London so it’s safe to say that he is an artist worth keeping an eye on. Enjoy the track below.

  1. I’m really impressed by Marius’s originality. So refreshing. All things being equal he could/should have a massive career.
