Alex Francis Has Just Released An Infectious New Single & We Love It

The Sound Sniffer are delighted to announce that the incredible Alex Francis will be joining us on the 19th of August for a truly spectacular night of rustic, upbeat songs to get your serotonin overflowing and your foot tapping alongside emerging star Celine Love

From the quaint Hertfordshire town of Hitchin, Alex Francis had a deep passion for music inspired by an eclectic range of artists and a family adoration for soulful, rich sounds. He went onto study music at Brighton University and armoured with the knowledge he gained, began to burst into the industry as a confident yet unique artist. His music seeks to combine classical ideas of folk and soul with a hypnotic, modern funk that shouldn’t work but absolutely does! The relative oxymoron of these genres has been melded together with his rustic, beautifully rough voice. His unique style has received critical acclaim from the likes of BBC Radio 2 and National European FM Radio and with the advent of his new release – he is on a path to soar!

I fell in love with his music when ‘Desire’ was released two years ago. The track is so soulful and sensual that moving along to it is irresistible.

‘If I Can’t Have You’, his latest release is simply a bundle of audible joy. The track is so upbeat that it inspires feelings of pure dance around your room happiness. The lyrics are so hopeful and relatable that you can really get invested into the story of it. The chorus for me was the highlight as it’s so crushingly intense and catchy – it’s one of those chorus’ you’ll find yourself belting out in the shower. His voice is truly resonating, and his range is expressed in this song as the delicate nature of it becomes this booming arm-hair-lifting intensity. The choir like feel to the song adds to the overall jubilant feeling of it and elevates the complexity of his voice. Produced by the Grammy Award winning Mark Taylor, the song takes you on a distinctive journey that is triumphed by a persistent acoustic guitar riff. If you are happy, this song will only aid your delight, if you are sad – it is sure to drag you from the depths and breathe new life into your soul.
