Something a little bit more BBC radio 1 ready here this afternoon from much anticipated Aussie artist Jack Gray. The nice thing here is that he writes and produces everything himself, much respect – it’s no wonder Warner Music Group have snapped him up. This fella is making real headway on the commercial scene down under and is quickly seeping through into Europe with his cathy blend of pop music is beginning to raise a couple of eyebrows here in London.
Fools is Gray’s latest offering and this impressive multi-instrumentalist has hit the nail on the head. Gray states how he “doesn’t view music in terms of genre”, this is apparent in the style of this neutral single – yes it is commercially produced, yet it holds just enough originality to please the listener and excite. This is a well executed effort from this young fella and one that could see him elevated to bigger and better pastures. The radio-friendly vocal hooks, the simplistic yet catchy guitar riff and the impressive sing-along ready breakdown, make this track a real diamond in the rough.
Check out this one below – be sure to have a look at his other stuff too. A pop artist on the rise. Gray has just released his debut EP ‘Nights like this’ on May 31st. He also plays his first show in New York on June 3rd and has
Sold Out a couple of legs of his Aussie tour – it’s safe to say he is growing more and more each day. Remember the name.
