German band Xul Zolar were founded back in 2011 by singer Roland Rottel and guitar player/keyboardist Marin Geier. Their sound is as fresh as it gets – Your Ways is chirpy, uplifting and totally infectious. These lads were tipped as the next big thing in Germany when they first broke out. They have clearly gone from strength to strength since and with releases like this, they will be breaking it big over here in the UK too.
This track is one of them addictive tracks that is impossible to overlook, bouncing along effortlessly with swagger. I would go so far as saying that it’s in my top ten of the year so far – high and well deserved praise. What makes finding Xul Zolar last week even better is the fact that they supported Future Islands on tour a while back. I would pay good good money to hear their single ‘Your Ways’ followed up by Future Island’s ‘Seasons’.
